“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; By whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance, and patience, experience; and experience, hope. And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Ghost, who was given to us.”(Romans 5:1-5)
Nowadays we hear and receive lots of information on television, newspapers and magazines. We hear about wars, murders, crimes, human rights violations. On many of the trips that I do I discover people who trust their lives in different beliefs as well as others who lost or were born without believing in something bigger. And as much as, shock me, I hear from people that God is dead or does not exist.
I believe that God is not dead. But it can raise several issues to those who do not believe. I can say that deep inside I feel the move of a supernatural power, which affects all aspects of my life. Christ lives in me and I feel Him everywhere.
But probably you are saying how could you experience such glory and move in your life having so many battles and problems plaguing your life?
God is good and his grace is infinite, but to feel the Lord’s move in our lives, it is necessary to have a relationship with him.
What is a relationship?
A relationship with Christ is not something forced. It’s something we want. I have a relationship with my wife and daughter because I give myself without expecting something in return. I take care of them without expecting thanks. I act on their welfare only because I want to see the happiness and well-being in their daily life. The same applies to the relationship between us and Christ. We need to know firsthand that He gave himself for us, for our sakes on the cross so that we did not live in fear of sin. These same sins have been forgiven at the cross. So Christ wants us to live a life full of abundance, following his word and his most important commandments… “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind “…” Love your neighbor as yourself… “(Matthew 22: 34-40)
Here we see that our delivery has no basis in law or must be forced on us by religion, but it must be mirrored in the love of Christ. He gave up love for us on the cross and we should surrender to His will and His love. This delivery allows Him to come and live in our hearts. Christ wants the best for us. He wants to get in your heart break the hatred and suffering, relieve us from all sin and guilt and make us live in the Glory of God.
Take a chance. Accept Jesus into your heart, close your eyes, put your hand on your heart and say, whisper softly… Jesus comes to live in my heart. I want to have a relationship with you. And believe the glory of the Lord will be poured into your life and the love of God will change your life. Forget laws, religions, dogmas, and follow what is most important… Jesus, because He is the Glory and Grace.
That is why JESUS IS ALIVE.
… “Jesus said to him: Have I been with you for so long, and you have not known me, Philip? The person who has seen me has seen the Father! How can you say, “show us the Father?(John 14:9)
Jesus came to reveal the Father to us. He came to show us a living God. If you want to know what God thinks about you or what God would say about your sins, or how God would respond if you were face to face with him, just look at Jesus and you will know…
